Send Lisa your bank statements, answer a few questions on your phone, and a director at Whitfield Hanson checks every figure and files your Self Assessment. No app to learn. No shoebox. No meetings.
Message Lisa now opens WhatsApp — the message is already typed, just press sendStraight from your banking app to Lisa's number. She reads every line and builds your year — and she can tell your materials from your Greggs.
Two minutes on your phone — pension, student loan, that kind of thing. Skip anything you're not sure of; nothing gets stuck.
An accountant at Whitfield Hanson reviews every return personally — a person, not a model. You see your figures, you say YES, and we file it with HMRC as your registered agent. Nothing goes to HMRC without your approval.
Refunds are often £1,500–£2,500
If contractors take 20% off your pay, most years HMRC owes YOU — and they're holding it until you file. Lisa finds your refund from your bank statements and gets the return ready in days, not months. It's your money. Go and get it.

Sparkies, plasterers, joiners, drivers, cleaners, barbers — anyone self-employed who'd rather be working than doing paperwork. Send a receipt photo when you buy something, tell Lisa when someone pays you, and your books keep themselves. There's a little app for seeing your money — but you never have to leave WhatsApp.
We're taking 50 founding clients this tax season, and looking after them properly while we grow.
When the fifty places are gone, they're gone.
It's already started: since April 2026, HMRC's Making Tax Digital rules mean sole traders earning over £50,000 must keep digital records and update HMRC every quarter. From April 2027 the same rules hit everyone over £30,000 — the old once-a-year shoebox is being switched off. Lisa was built for exactly this. Founding members' books will already be digital, so when your turn comes, you'll notice… nothing. That's the point.
No — that's the point. We're registered HMRC agents, so we file your return and deal with HMRC on your behalf. There's one two-minute job in your own HMRC account that links us up as your agent (Lisa gives you the exact taps — and if you can't get in, HMRC post you a code instead). After that, no sitting on hold: if HMRC have a question, they ask us, not you.
Everything: Lisa building your year from your statements, the questions, a human at Whitfield Hanson reviewing it, and your 2025-26 Self Assessment return prepared and filed. You pay when you approve your figures — not before.
We can usually have your return ready to approve within days of getting your statements. Once filed, HMRC typically pays refunds in 2–6 weeks, straight to your bank.
Yes. They're used only to build your books, stored encrypted, seen only by Whitfield Hanson, and handled under our privacy notice. We're a real regulated accountancy firm — identity checks and all — not an anonymous app.
No. Lisa lives in WhatsApp, which you've already got. There's a proper app too — your money, your return and your documents in one place — but it's optional. WhatsApp is the whole product.
Your bank statements (a download from your banking app), a few minutes for the questions, and a photo of your driving licence or passport — the law makes us check who our clients are.
Then you're exactly who the human accountant is for. Lisa gathers, the accountant decides. If something needs a proper conversation, you'll have one — with a person.
