ENGAGEMENT TERMS — WHITFIELD HANSON ACCOUNTANCY LTD
Version 2026-09-03.2

These terms cover the services provided to you by Whitfield Hanson
Accountancy Ltd ("we", "us"), through Lisa, our WhatsApp assistant. Lisa
is software that uses artificial intelligence — see section 10.

1. WHAT WE DO. We provide bookkeeping through Lisa, and we prepare your
Self Assessment tax return from the records and answers you provide. When
you approve your figures, we finalise the return for submission to HMRC —
either filed by us as your agent once you have authorised us with HMRC, or
prepared for you to submit through your own HMRC account with our guidance.
The £99 return covers self-employment, a PAYE job, UK rental property and
the usual personal items (interest, dividends, pensions, Gift Aid, student
loan, Child Benefit, Marriage Allowance). Capital gains, foreign income,
living outside the UK, partnerships, trusts and living at your business
premises are dealt with by an accountant separately — Lisa tells you when
one comes up, and nothing is filed until it is resolved. Other services
are agreed separately before any fee applies.

2. FEES. Preparing and dealing with your Self Assessment return costs £99,
payable when you approve your figures. Ongoing bookkeeping and quarterly
Making Tax Digital services, where you subscribe to them, are charged at
the rate agreed with you at the time. We will always tell you the price of
something before you owe it.

3. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU. You are responsible for giving us complete and
accurate information — all your income, your bank statements, and honest
answers to Lisa's questions. The tax return is legally YOUR declaration:
we prepare it with reasonable care from what you give us, and you approve
it before anything is submitted. Penalties charged by HMRC because
information was missing or wrong are your responsibility unless the error
was ours.

4. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US. We act with reasonable care and skill.
Every return is reviewed by a director of Whitfield Hanson before it
is finalised — every one, not a sample. Lisa gathers, organises and
calculates; a human checks the figures against your records and decides
what is filed. We keep your information confidential, and we
keep your records securely for at least 6 years, as tax law requires.

5. IDENTITY CHECKS. We are supervised under the UK Money Laundering
Regulations. The law requires us to verify your identity before acting for
you and to keep that evidence. Occasionally the law also requires us to
make reports without telling you; that is a legal duty on us, not a choice.

6. CANCELLING. You have 14 days from accepting these terms to cancel
without giving a reason — just message Lisa. By accepting these terms you
expressly ask us to begin work within those 14 days. If you cancel inside
the 14 days you pay only for work done up to then. You acknowledge that
once your return has been finalised and you have approved it, the service
has been fully performed and your right to cancel ends — the £99 is then
payable.

7. PROBLEMS. If something is wrong, tell us: henry@getlisa.co.uk or say so
to Lisa and a human will pick it up. If we cannot put it right, you can
complain to HMRC about us as your agent. Our liability to you in
connection with a return is limited to the greater of the fee you paid for
it and any loss caused directly by our negligence; nothing in these terms
limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. YOUR DATA. How we use your information — including your bank data and
identity documents — is set out in our privacy notice at
getlisa.co.uk/privacy. We only use it to provide these services and to
meet our legal obligations.

9. THESE TERMS. Governed by the law of England and Wales. "We" is
Whitfield Hanson Accountancy Ltd, company number 16778779.

10. LISA USES ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. Lisa is built on an AI language
model provided by a third party (Anthropic). To provide these services,
the information you give Lisa — your messages, photographs of receipts
and documents, and your bank data — is processed by that provider on our
behalf, under a written contract that limits what it may do with your
information; the details are in our privacy notice. Lisa does not decide
your tax: every figure is calculated by our own software, not by the AI
model, and is checked by a human at Whitfield Hanson before anything is
filed. By
accepting these terms you consent to your information being processed in
this way. If you would rather it were not, tell us and we will talk about
the alternatives before any work starts.
Accepted in WhatsApp by replying "I AGREE" — Lisa records when you accepted and exactly which version you accepted.
